Verbs Like gustar
Kurz erklärt
With gustar, the thing you like is the grammatical subject. The person who likes it is shown with an indirect object pronoun: me, te, le, nos, les. This is why Spanish usually says me gusta el café, literally closer to ‘coffee is pleasing to me,’ rather than using the English subject + verb pattern.
Bildung
(A + person) + me/te/le/nos/les + gusta + singular noun or infinitive; use gustan with plural nouns.
Verwendung
- Use gusta before one thing or an activity: Me gusta esta canción. / Me gusta bailar.
- Use gustan before plural things: Nos gustan los tacos.
- Add a + name or pronoun for clarity or emphasis: A Ana le gusta leer.
- Dislikes use no before the pronoun: No me gusta el frío.
