Pronouns after Prepositions
Kurz erklärt
After most Spanish prepositions, use a stressed pronoun. The forms mí and ti are used for ‘me’ and singular informal ‘you.’ Most other forms look like subject pronouns: él, ella, usted, nosotros, nosotras, ustedes, ellos, and ellas. These pronouns can refer to people after prepositions such as para, de, sin, and a.
Bildung
preposition + mí/ti/él/ella/usted/nosotros/nosotras/ustedes/ellos/ellas; con + mí/ti becomes conmigo/contigo
Verwendung
- Use mí or ti after most prepositions when referring to yourself or one person addressed informally.
- Use conmigo and contigo instead of con mí and con ti.
- With con and other people, keep the regular forms: con él, con ella, con usted, or con ustedes.
- After entre, use subject forms in expressions such as entre tú y yo.
Beispiele
- Este regalo es para ti. — This gift is for you.
- ¿Quieres venir conmigo? — Do you want to come with me?
- No podemos hacerlo sin ella. — We can’t do it without her.
- Esto queda entre tú y yo. — This stays between you and me.
