Prepositions of Time
Kurz erklärt
Spanish uses different prepositions and expressions to say when something happens. Use a before clock times: a las ocho. Use en with months, seasons, and years: en enero, en verano, en 2026. For parts of the day, por expresses a general period, as in por la mañana. In a clock expression, de identifies the part of the day: a las ocho de la mañana. Days normally use the article el rather than a preposition: el lunes.
