Forming and positioning adverbs
Kurz erklärt
Adverbs describe how, when, or how often something happens. Many French adverbs are formed by adding -ment to the feminine form of an adjective: heureux → heureuse → heureusement. If the masculine adjective already ends in a vowel, -ment is usually added directly: poli → poliment. Common adverbs such as très, bien, mal, vite, souvent, and toujours do not follow this formation rule.
