A1EssentialFrench

Kurz erklärt

In a basic French statement, the subject normally comes first, followed by the conjugated verb and then an object or other complement. This is often the same order as in English. French normally expresses the subject, even when the verb ending already shows who is acting.

  • Use this order to state what someone does: subject + verb + object.
  • With être, place a description after the verb: subject + être + adjective.
  • Conjugate the verb so that it agrees with the subject.
