Sıfatlarla kullanılan sabit edatlar

Kısaca

İngilizcede bazı sıfatlar, ardından gelen kişi veya konuyu belirli bir edatla bağlar. Bu edat Türkçedeki eke bakılarak seçilemez: responsible for, interested in, satisfied with ve accustomed to gibi birleşimleri birlikte öğrenmek gerekir.

Yapı

be/feel + sıfat + sabit edat + isim, zamir veya -ing biçimi; accustomed to ifadesindeki to bir edattır.

Kullanım

• Bir görevden sorumlu olmak için responsible for kullanılır; Türkçedeki -den eki İngilizce edatı belirlemez.
• Bir şeye ilgi duymak için interested in, bir şeyden memnun olmak için satisfied with kullanılır.
• Bir şeye alışkın olmayı anlatırken accustomed to kullanılır; ardından fiil geliyorsa -ing biçimi kullanılır: accustomed to working.

Örnekler

• She’s responsible for the monthly budget. — Aylık bütçeden o sorumlu.
• I’m interested in the position you mentioned. — Sözünü ettiğin pozisyonla ilgileniyorum.
• Are you satisfied with the results? — Sonuçlardan memnun musun?
• We’re accustomed to working under pressure. — Baskı altında çalışmaya alışkınız.

Yaygın hata

❌ She’s responsible from the monthly budget.

✅ She’s responsible for the monthly budget.

Türkçede ‘bütçeden sorumlu’ denir; İngilizcede responsible sıfatından sonra from değil, for gelir.

Unutma

Sıfatı ve edatını tek bir kalıp olarak öğren: responsible for, interested in, satisfied with. Accustomed to sonrasında fiil kullanırsan -ing biçimini seç.
